Regaining some dignity - Bell’s Rye Stout
Bell’s Rye Stout is good. Really good. I think I have expressed my affinity for rye beers before so I will not get into it now. Bell’s makes some fantastic beers: Oberon, Two Hearted Ale, etc… Bell’s makes some fantastic stouts: Double Cream Stout, Expedition Stout, etc… Bell’s is from Michigan where a lot of good breweries call home: New Holland, Founders, etc… Bell’s beer bottles say they are located in Comstock, Michigan but BeerAdvocate.com lists them as being located in Kalamazoo. Kalamazoo is not only fun to say, it also rhymes with kazoo and lends its name to one of the finest songs ever performed by the Glenn Miller Orchestra (did I just blow any dignity I regained from this post with that line). Bell’s Rye Stout does not have clams in it. It does not have tomato juice in it. It is really good.
